The product passes between the central mixing element and the inner tube.  Simultaneously, the cooling or heating medium passes through both the central mixing element and the jacket around the shell.

A New Approach to Continuous Mixing

A uniquely formed central mixing element interacts with the inner tube of the Mixchanger to produce continuous radial mixing in the product path.  By carefully varying the size and form of the removable central mixing element, optimum degrees of mixing can be successfully processed.

This means that it is ideally suited to practically any application in which viscous products with or without particulates are heated or cooled.
